Part of the City of Alexandria Utilities Department, this fine old building remains at the intersection of Lee Street and Masonic Drive, at the edge of City Park. Nearby, within easy walking distance, were the softball diamonds, Thunderstreak Field, the City Park Golf Course, Alexandria Zoo, Kiddieland, Bringhurst Park, and the Alexandria Natatorium.

Across Masonic Drive is Fire Station Number 4 and the Thornton Branch of the Rapides Parish Library.
