It seems like just the other day when we were pumping gas at Mat's Exxon (ESSO) Service Station, and buying groceries at A&P on Bolton Avenue. Signs remind us of Mike Mule's Service Station, Chapman's Grocery, Andress-Abbott Ford Dealership, Cicardo Grocery and Market, French Unique Laundry and Cleaners, Lazarone's Drive-Inn, Noah's Potato Chip, Red River Candy, the Joy Theater and others!

As we ride down historic Third Street, and out Jackson Street and Lee Street, down Bolton Avenue and along MacArthur Drive, we are reminded of Alexandria signs of the past.

Store signs show us business locations, and give information to customers. They also tell stories about Alexandria, and Central Louisiana.

Below are some of our favorite signs from Alexandria. Visit again soon as we add more photos.
