Welcome to the American Retrospective, a look back in time to the Twentieth Century, and the many good things that characterized those amazing years. We focus on architecture, historic preservation, landscapes, nostalgia, photography, postcards and related items that tell the story of the places, and people, that so many of us remember well.
Our plans are to continue to grow this site, as well as individual city sites, such as the popular Alexandria, Louisiana Retrospective.
Our roots are in Alexandria, and Louisiana, but our interests span an even wider region, to Texas, Mississippi, Arkansas, Route 66, and beyond.
