Bolton High School has a long, storied history and tradition in Alexandria, dating back to 1888.
The school is named after James H. Bolton. After existing in previous locations in Alexandria, the current building opened on November 2, 1926 at 2101 Vance Avenue. The building was entered into the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.
We've built a small collection of photographs, historic postcards, Clippings and memorabilia about the school, and are planning on adding more content soon. Check back again!
If you have any photos, Clippings, stories, or other Bolton memorabilia to share, please email
them to photos@alexandria-louisiana.com,
along with a brief explantion: where, when, who, etc.
From time to time, we post information about Bolton High reunions on our Alexandria Retrospective Events and Reunions page.
For more information, visit the official Bolton High School web site.
