Kinder is the home of the Coushatta Casino Resort featuring lodging, golf, dining, a luxury RV Resort, and a variety of gaming and gambling opportunities in a 100,000 square foot casino. Coushatta Casino Resort employs 2,600 people and is an important part of the area's economy.
A variety of hotels and motels are also available in the Kinder area.
Kinder is located southwest of Alexandria on U.S. Highway 165 in Allen Parish, and has a population of about 2,500. See map of Kinder below.
