The workers at this building are Alexandria firefighters, and have been for decades, at this well kept station in City Park. Just down the block from here was the famous Nehi Bottling Company...on any given night during the 1950s, my mother and father would take the family for a spin, and stop here, for recreation, to see what flavor they were bottling...grape, orange or strawberry. Yes, those WERE simpler times!
