Special
thanks to Marilyn for providing these pictures taken at, and
around, the European Tourist Courts, later the Louise Motel,
at 3301 Lee Street, near Herbie-K's Restaurant, circa 1956.
The
picture taken in July, 1956 (below) shows Louise Burnum, my mother.
When she purchased the European Tourist Courts, she renamed it
the Louise Motel.

My
sister Frances, known as "Puddin", shown below at the
motel in July, 1956, by our living quarters. You can see the
first row of rooms on the left, and one of the units along the
back. Puddlin married D.E. Walding in 1956; she is now deceased.

Hattie
Scott was our housekeeper and motel maid. This photo was taken
at the front door of the motel in 1956.

The
photo below shows Marilyn and Sue Burnum standing in the gravel
driveway at the motel, and the row of the first 8 rooms on the
left. Each unit had its own carport. To the right is where more
rooms and the courtyard were; next to the courtyard was Herbie-K's.
There was also a wishing well in the courtyard.
