Chapman's Grocery
Memories of Alexandria Friends
Mike Chapman & Mary Chapman Simpson

Special thanks to Mike Chapman for providing the photograph shown below. And also to his cousin Mary Chapman Simpson, who says...

"I used to love helping out at Grandpa's grocery store.  It was an old-time grocery, with sawdust on the floor, and a big candy counter facing the door as you came in.  I always wanted to help with the sales, but after I broke so many jars in restocking the shelves, Grandpa came and said, 'Honey, I'd love to have you work for me, but I'm afraid I can't afford it'.
