Although in the State of Mississippi, Vicksburg is just across the Mississippi River from Louisiana, and not far from Tallulah on Interstate 20.

We've traveled through Vicksburg frequently, and visited local attractions such as the National Military Park, the site of an important Civil War battlefield.

Vicksburg, the county seat of Warren County, offers a variety of accomodations for tourists and visitors including numerous B&Bs and motels and hotels.

It is also the location of a successful gaming and casino industry, and a major tourist destination. We've made the trip down The Great River Road, U.S. Highway 61, to Natchez and St. Francisville several times, and love the greeen, rolling hills along the way: a highly recommended route!
